Message From the Owner

This plane was first built with a Subaru Engine up front...that's why the Subaru emblem is still on the vertical stabilizer. But after about 250 hours of poor performance and reliability issues I decided to install a Lycoming 360 with a C/S Hartzell propeller up front. Now this plane really zips along! I also painted the plane myself and one of the photos shows a mismatch at a wingtip. The plane has a lot of cool features. Since it has a 'slider' canopy I was able to incorporate the Meske Tip-up Mod (http://www.aircraftextras.com/Tip-Up-Slider1.htm). I bought a 26 lb foldable 20" bike that I can easily put in the baggage compartment when I fly out to unattended airports with nearby towns. I have interesting photo journals to send you upon request. This plane also has most of the modifications and upgrades designed by Allan Nimmo of antisplataero.com. These include the oil separator, the nose gear and nose wheel bearing mods and the seat back mod...giving taller pilots more headroom. This rebuilt engine was ordered per my specs with 9:1 pistons. I installed the dual ECU system from flyefii.com. For reliability I also installed a full sized backup battery, backup fuel pump which is automatically activates if the fuel pressure drops, and a back up Plane Power 30A alternator which automatically switches on if the bus voltage drops down to 13.5V or less. Each ECU has its own set of sensors for reliability. The Grand Rapids Engine Information System (EIS 4000) monitors all sensor parameters and gives an audible and visual warning if the pre-programmed values you set are out of limits. Whatever is out of limits flashes on the digital display. All engine data during a flight can be downloaded to a USB equipped laptop or notepad and analyzed with free graphics programs. Besides the analog fuel level gauges on the panel I installed optical fuel sensors in the tanks which activates panel warning lights as well as audible warnings. This plane was built with maintainability in mind. The entire front panel can be removed in about 90 minutes and instructions are provided on how to do this. I created an Electronic Description Document which gives detailed schematics and explanation of how everything works...and photos showing were all the components are. I've been using 91 Octane auto-gas almost exclusively and the engine likes the lead-free attributes. Economy cruise at 8,500' is 185 mph with just 7.5gph fuel usage. This is a wonderful airplane that is a joy to fly. I hate to give it up but I've accomplished all my flying goals and it is time to spend more time with family and grand kids.

This 2005 RV7A is an incredible find and a fantastic value. It was professionally built with incredible attention to detail. It has extremely low time and is very well equipped, complete with a Garmin 430W, mode S transponder, auto pilot, electronic flight display and much more. The paint and interior are outstanding and the plane turns heads everywhere it goes. If you are the type of pilot who appreciates quality and takes pride in owning nice things, this one is for you. At this price, it will not be available for very long, so be sure to contact us right away!
