A visual inspection of the aircraft shows no obvious sign of any damage or repair. The aircraft was involved in a mid-air incident in 2000. There was damage to the propeller, which was replaced and the engine had a tear down inspection in accordance with the Lycoming Service Manual. There was no airframe damage. The first airframe and engine logs were misplaced back in 1972, at which time new logs were started and have been maintained completely since that time.
The overall condition of the exterior is fair. The finish is chalky with significant areas of missing paint. There are moderate chips and scratches all over the airplane.
The seats, carpet, side panels and plastic components are all in fair condition.
This Airplane is currently undergoing an annual inspection (as you can see from photos), and should be completed by March 31, 2016. Plane will have a fresh annual, transponder/pitot static check, and ELT check. This airplane has a 160 HP upgrade. Part of the upgrade was to have the propeller re-pitched, which was done in 1993. In 2000 the plane had a prop strike in mid air (500 SMOH). The engine was removed, disassembled, inspected, reassembled, and replaced. Another propeller was then installed on the aircraft, but it was never re-pitched per the original STC. It has flown for 1000 hours since then. I just had the propeller re-pitched a month ago from Santa Monica Propellers. A Sensenich 58 pitch prop re-pitched to 60 pitch per STC. Also, I believe the total time of the aircraft 9624 Hours. TSMO is 1526. Overhaul was done in 1993. Total time prior to overhaul was 8108hours. After Overhaul, the total time is listed as 6876. I don't know why this was done, but I want to make a prospective buyer aware of this, and that is why I am listing the total time as 9624 Hours.
