Condition
A visual inspection of the aircraft shows no obvious signs of any airframe damage or repairs. The logbooks are original, complete, well organized, legible and make no reference to any airframe damage history.
Exterior
The overall condition of the exterior is excellent. The finish is very shiny with no areas of missing paint. There are no noticeable chips or scratches.
Interior
The seats and all plastic components are in excellent condition. The carpet and side panels look good.
Message From the Owner
I have owned, flown and maintained this plane since 1990. It has always been hangared and well maintained. It flies at 180 mph at 65% power; at 10,000 feet, the fuel burn goes down to 10.5 gal/hour. The Comanche 250 is a very safe plane, but isn't considered a short range airplane. The last annual was very thorough--it's in great shape and ready to fly.
This 1959 Piper Comanche 250 is an awesome find! It has a solid maintenance history and comes with a complete set of original logs. The engine is low time since major overhaul and is running strong. It is IFR equipped and has a handful of extras including an upgraded door lock, reverse brake calipers, EGT Combo carburetor ice & CHT, ACK ELT E-04, new fuel bladders, new alternator and an upgraded glare shield avionics center stack. If you are looking for a fast, long range retractable with a good useful load without spending a lot of cash, this is your chance.
