I bought N2UN twenty years ago primarily to use as transportation to visit family in Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, NC and SC as well as to commute to a vacation home in New Hampshire. I wanted a plane that had a good cruise speed for cross country flying, had room for four persons and some luggage and was IFR certified. I had only one flying incident in N2UN and that was when the landing gear got stuck down due to loss on pressure in the land gear. Otherwise, the plane was 100% dependable. I learned to fly in Guatemala in a Cessna 206 and commuted from Guatemala City to all of the Central America companies and sometimes Mexico every month for four years. I guess that one would say that learning to fly in the Andes mountains with no GPS - in those days - was an amazing opportunity. And it was. I had fabulous flight instructors and an amazing array of different landing sites. From Guatemala I moved to Bolivia. The airport in La Paz is 13,700 feet and the runway is equally long. I only flew there once in a overpowered Cessna 150. However, I had a major project in the lowlands on the border with Brazil and had available a Cessna 2010 which I flew often with the plane owner as copilot to many locations in the Amazon basin and major cities in the low lands. I also have a South African pilots license and flew a variety of planes when living in South Africa mostly for pleasure to visit the game parks. My father was a pilot and instructor. I took my first airplane ride with him in 1946. I am 79 years old in January, in good physical health, but feel that having had a perfect flying record and getting less focused every year that now is a perfect time to stop flying and sell 2UN while she is shiny and flying well.
