Message From the Owner

I purchased this airplane in the late 80s. As an attorney, I was looking for some thing to fly as a short commute in order to avoid the Los Angeles area traffic. Shortly after I purchased the aircraft, I had a Penn Yan 180 hp conversion done. a few years after that, with only a couple hundred hours, the aircraft was refueled by an FBO that put the wrong type of fuel in. This resulted in me getting a brand new Lycoming factory overhaul Engine. I have enjoyed the aircraft for many years and it has served me well. Unfortunately, the time has come to let it go. I hope the new owner enjoys it as much as I have. ~Jim

This 1976 Cessna 172M/Skyhawk with a 180Hp Penn Yan conversion is an awesome find! The airframe is solid, with average time and it comes with a complete set of original logs. The engine has a little over 1100 hours since a factory overhaul. The plane has basic IFR radios with a handful of extras. If you are looking for an easy-to-fly Skyhawk with a little extra performance, this is your chance. At this price, it will not be available for very long, so be sure to contact us right away!
